Walking
If you are in the center of Hasselt, start at the Grote Markt (Main Square). From the square, head east on the Maastrichterstraat until you reach the intersection with the Gouverneur Verwilghensingel. Turn left onto Gouverneur Verwilghensingel and continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. The Japanese Garden will be on your right at number 15.
Public Transport
From Hasselt's central train station, take bus line 2 towards Kuringen. Get off at the stop 'Gouverneur Verwilghensingel'. Once you disembark, the Japanese Garden is just a short walk ahead. It will be located on your left at number 15.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from the Hasselt center. Start from the center and head southeast on the Maastrichterstraat. Follow the road until you reach the Gouverneur Verwilghensingel. Turn left and cycle straight for about 1 kilometer. The Japanese Garden will be on your right at number 15.
