Getting There

• Bus

  From Hasselt, head to the Hasselt bus station (Stationstraat, 3500 Hasselt). Take the bus number 34 towards Leuven. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Leuven bus station, exit and turn left onto Diestsestraat. Continue walking along Diestsestraat until you reach the intersection with Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein. The Universiteitsbibliotheek en bibliotheektoren will be on your right at Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein 21.

• Train

  Make your way to Hasselt train station (Spoorwegstraat, 3500 Hasselt). Purchase a ticket to Leuven. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. When you arrive at Leuven station, exit and follow the signs to the bus terminal. Take bus number 34 towards the city center (about a 10-minute ride). Get off at the stop 'Leuven, Diestsestraat', then walk straight on Diestsestraat until you reach the intersection with Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein. The Universiteitsbibliotheek en bibliotheektoren will be on your right at Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein 21.

• Walking

  If you are already in the city center of Hasselt, a scenic route is to walk to the bus station and take bus number 34 as described above. Alternatively, if you feel adventurous, you can walk to Leuven, which is about 25 km away. Head east along the road, following signs towards Leuven. The walk will take several hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
