Once you arrive at Leuven bus station, exit and turn left onto Diestsestraat. Continue walking along Diestsestraat until you reach the intersection with Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein. The Universiteitsbibliotheek en bibliotheektoren will be on your right at Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein 21.

Make your way to Hasselt train station (Spoorwegstraat, 3500 Hasselt). Purchase a ticket to Leuven. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. When you arrive at Leuven station, exit and follow the signs to the bus terminal. Take bus number 34 towards the city center (about a 10-minute ride). Get off at the stop 'Leuven, Diestsestraat', then walk straight on Diestsestraat until you reach the intersection with Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein. The Universiteitsbibliotheek en bibliotheektoren will be on your right at Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein 21.
