Car
If you are driving from the center of Hautes Fagnes, start by heading southeast on Route de la Gileppe (Rte de la Gileppe) towards Jalhay. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach Lake Gileppe. The lake will be on your left, and you can park at the designated parking area near the visitor center. Be aware that parking may incur a fee, typically around €2 for a few hours.
Public Transportation
To reach Lake Gileppe by public transport, first, take a train from the nearest station in Hautes Fagnes to the Verviers-Central Station. From Verviers-Central, transfer to bus line 395 towards Jalhay. The bus will take you directly to the stop named 'Gileppe.' Be sure to check the bus schedule beforehand, as frequencies may vary. The total cost for the train and bus journey is approximately €7-€10 depending on your exact starting point and ticket type.
Walking
