Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards the N4 highway. From the center of Hesbaye, you can take the N80 towards Gembloux. Follow the signs for the N4 and merge onto the N4 highway. Continue on N4 for approximately 10 km. After passing through Gembloux, keep an eye out for the exit toward 'N4, 5030 Gembloux.' Once you exit, follow the road signs leading to Nature Reserve Escaille. There is free parking available at the reserve.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from your nearest station in Hesbaye to Gembloux. The train ride typically takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Gembloux train station, exit the station and look for bus number 8, which will take you towards the N4. Get off at the stop closest to 'N4, 5030 Gembloux.' From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Nature Reserve Escaille. Ensure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and would like to cycle, you can rent a bike in Hesbaye. Head towards the N4 using the designated bike paths. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes from the center of Hesbaye. Make sure to have a map or a GPS device, as you will need to navigate through some smaller roads to reach the reserve. There are bike racks available at Nature Reserve Escaille for you to secure your bike.

• Walking

  If you're already in Gembloux and prefer to walk, you can reach Nature Reserve Escaille by taking a scenic route through the local countryside. From the center of Gembloux, head toward the N4 and follow the pedestrian paths. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The nature reserve is well marked, and you’ll enjoy beautiful views along the way.
