Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Hesbaye, take the E40 motorway towards Brussels. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit for Brussels and follow the signs for the city center (Centre Ville). Continue on the Boulevard de Waterloo, which will lead you directly into the heart of Brussels. Once you reach the historic center, look for parking options nearby, such as parking garages or street parking. The Brussels City Museum is located at Grote Markt van, 1000 Brussel, which is a short walk from most central parking areas.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take a train from one of the nearby train stations in Hesbaye (e.g., Landen or Wavre) to Brussels Central Station (Bruxelles-Central). The train journey typically takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Brussels Central Station, exit the station and walk towards the Grand Place (Grote Markt), which is about a 10-minute walk. The Brussels City Museum is located right at the Grand Place.

• Bus

  You can also take a bus from various towns in Hesbaye to Brussels. Check the local bus schedules for routes that connect your location to Brussels. Once you arrive at a central bus station in Brussels, such as Gare du Nord or Gare du Midi, you will need to walk or take the metro to reach the Grand Place. The Grand Place is approximately 15-20 minutes away by foot from these stations, or you can take a short metro ride to the nearest metro station (Parc or Centrale) and then walk to the museum.
