From the center of Knokke-Heist, head towards the coastal tram stop at Knokke. Board the tram heading to Ghent. Enjoy the scenic ride along the coast and through the countryside. After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will arrive at the Ghent tram station. Once you exit the tram, follow the signs towards the city center. Walk straight along the main road (Lange Steenstraat) until you reach the Sint-Pietersplein. Continue straight onto the Veldstraat, which will lead you into the heart of Ghent. As you approach the city, you will see signs for Groentenmarkt. Follow the signs and after a short walk, you will arrive at Groentenmarkt, located in the 9000 Ghent area.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Knokke-Heist. Start by following the coastal path towards the nearby city of Zeebrugge. Once you reach the Zeebrugge harbor, continue east towards the canal paths leading to Bruges. You will then follow the signs to Ghent. The total biking distance is approximately 35 kilometers, so plan for a leisurely ride. Once in Ghent, navigate towards the city center and look for Groentenmarkt, which is a well-known square in the area. Make sure to park your bike securely upon arrival.

From Knokke-Heist, head to the nearest train station, Knokke station. Purchase a ticket to Ghent. The train journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Ghent station, exit the station and head towards the tram stop located outside the station. Take tram line 1 towards 'Flanders Expo'. Get off at the 'Gravensteen' stop. From there, follow the signs to the city center. Continue walking straight, passing by the Gravensteen castle, and you will eventually reach Groentenmarkt. The area is well signposted, making it easy to navigate.
