Start at the Kortrijk train station (Station Kortrijk). Exit the station and head southwest on Spoorwegstraat towards Doorniksewijk. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Doorniksewijk, then turn left. Walk along Doorniksewijk until you reach the bridge over the river Leie. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the Grote Markt. From the Grote Markt, head northeast towards the Meensestraat. Walk along Meensestraat until you reach the intersection with Korte Steenstraat. Turn right onto Korte Steenstraat and continue walking. At the end of Korte Steenstraat, turn left onto the Place aux Oignons in Lille, which is approximately a 45-minute walk from the train station.

From the Kortrijk train station, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located just outside the station. Take Bus line 1 towards Lille. Ensure you check the bus schedule and get on the bus that heads towards Lille. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lille bus station, exit the bus and walk to Pl. aux Oignons, which is a short 10-minute walk away. Head east on Rue de l'Hôpital towards Rue des Bouchers, then turn left onto Rue des Bouchers, which will lead you directly to Pl. aux Oignons.
