Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Kortrijk, start at the Grote Markt, which is a central square. Head north on the Korte Steenstraat towards the River Leie. Cross the bridge (Sint-Michielsbrug) and continue straight until you reach the train station (Station Kortrijk). From the station, take a train to Lille, France, which takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Lille's main train station (Gare Lille Flandres), exit the station and head towards the Rihour Square (Pl. Rihour). You can easily find the square by following the signs or asking locals, as it is a well-known landmark in Lille.

• Bus

  From the center of Kortrijk, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Kortrijk Bus Station'. Take the bus line that goes to Lille, which is usually marked as 'Lille' on the bus display. The journey will take approximately 40-60 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Lille, get off at the 'Porte de Paris' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Pl. Rihour. Head down the Rue de Paris, then turn right onto Rue de la Monnaie, which will lead you directly to the square.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and have rented a bicycle, you can cycle from Kortrijk to Lille. Start from the center of Kortrijk and head towards the bike paths that follow the River Leie. Follow the river north until you reach the border with France. Continue on the designated cycling routes until you enter Lille. Once in Lille, navigate towards Pl. Rihour by following the signs for the city center. This route can take about an hour, depending on your cycling speed.
