From the center of Leuven, head south on Diestsestraat towards the train station. Once you reach the station, take the train to Tervuren. Trains to Tervuren run frequently, so check the schedule at the station. Upon arriving at Tervuren station, exit the station and turn left onto Tervurenlaan. Continue walking along Tervurenlaan until you reach the intersection with Vlaktedreef. Turn right onto Vlaktedreef and continue straight for about 800 meters. Arboretum Tervuren will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you are planning to rent a bicycle in Leuven, head towards the University Library and follow the signs to the cycling paths. Take the route towards Tervuren via the Tervurenlaan. This cycle route is scenic and will take you directly to the Arboretum. Upon reaching Tervuren, turn onto Vlaktedreef and keep cycling straight for about 800 meters until you see the entrance to Arboretum Tervuren on your right.
Public Transport
To reach Arboretum Tervuren using public transport, go to the nearest bus stop in Leuven. Take bus line 365 towards Tervuren. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you get off at the Tervuren stop, walk straight down Tervurenlaan until the intersection with Vlaktedreef. Turn right onto Vlaktedreef and walk for about 800 meters; the Arboretum will be on your right.
