Train
From Liège-Guillemins train station, take a train towards Maastricht. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at Valkenburg station. Once you exit the station, head southwest on Stationstraat toward Kerkstraat. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach Kerkstraat. Turn right onto Kerkstraat and walk for about 200 meters. The Old Hickory brug will be on your left.

From the center of Liège, locate the bus stop at Place Saint-Lambert. Take bus line 1 towards Verviers and ride for about 20 minutes. Get off at the Valkenburg stop. After disembarking, walk straight towards the Kerkstraat. Turn right and continue walking for about 300 meters. The Old Hickory brug will be on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike at one of the bike rental shops in Liège. Make your way towards the Meuse River and follow the bike paths along the river north towards Valkenburg. It is a scenic route that will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Valkenburg, continue on Kerkstraat for about 200 meters. The Old Hickory brug will be on your left.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the center of Liège. Head north towards the Meuse River, then follow the riverbank north for about 6 kilometers. Upon reaching Valkenburg, continue straight until you reach Kerkstraat. Turn left and walk for about 200 meters to find the Old Hickory brug on your left.
