Car
If you are driving, head towards the city center of Luxembourg City. Use the A1 motorway and take the exit towards 'Luxembourg-Centre'. Follow signs for 'Centre Ville' and then for 'Clausen'. Upon reaching the area of Rives de Clausen, look for parking options nearby. There are several parking lots available such as 'Parking Rives de Clausen'. The fort is a short walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Fort Thüngen using public transportation, take a tram or bus to the 'Clausen' stop. Tram line T1 connects several parts of the city. From the tram or bus stop, it is about a 10-minute walk to Fort Thüngen. Head towards Rives de Clausen, and follow the signs leading to the fort. Ensure you have a valid ticket for the tram or bus, which can be purchased at ticket machines or via the mobile app.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, you can walk to Fort Thüngen. From the Place d'Armes, head southeast toward Rue du Marché-aux-Herbes, then continue on to Avenue de la Liberté. Follow the road until you reach Rives de Clausen. The walk is approximately 20-30 minutes, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.
