La Passerelle, often referred to as the Old Bridge or Luxembourg Viaduct, is a prominent landmark in Luxembourg City. Constructed between 1859 and 1861, this impressive stone viaduct spans the Pétrusse Valley, linking the city center (Ville Haute) with the Gare district. The bridge was designed by engineers Achille N. Grenier and Auguste Letellier and built by the British company Waring Brothers. Its construction was motivated by the need to connect the city center to the new railway station without compromising the city's fortress defenses.La Passerelle extends over 290 meters, supported by 24 elegant arches that soar 45 meters above the valley floor.
