Walking
If you are in the city center of Mechelen, start at the Mechelen Train Station. Exit the station and head southwest on Stationstraat towards the main square. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bruul. Turn left onto Bruul and walk straight until you reach the Grote Markt (Main Square), which is about a 10-15 minute walk. Once at the Grote Markt, you will see the impressive St. Rumbold's Cathedral. From there, head straight towards the Grand Place. The Brussels Town Hall is located at Grand Place 8, and it should take you just a few minutes to walk there from the cathedral.
Public Transport
From Mechelen Train Station, take the train towards Brussels Central Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Brussels Central Station, follow the signs to the exit towards the city center. From the station, walk towards the Mont des Arts, then continue walking straight until you reach the Grand Place. The Brussels Town Hall is located at Grand Place 8, which is easily visible in the square.
