Walking
If you are in the city center of Mechelen, start at the Mechelen Railway Station (Station Mechelen). Exit the station and head south on Liersesteenweg towards the city center. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pater Damiaanstraat. Turn right onto Pater Damiaanstraat and walk until you reach the main square (Grote Markt). From there, continue straight onto Bruul, a pedestrian-friendly street that leads directly to the city center. As you walk, look for signs pointing to the train station. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Mechelen City Hall. From here, take the tram or bus towards Antwerp. Once you arrive in Antwerp, follow the signs for Vrijdagmarkt, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the tram/bus stop.

Public Transport
Start at the Mechelen Railway Station (Station Mechelen). Purchase a ticket to Antwerp. Board a train heading towards Antwerpen-Centraal Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Antwerpen-Centraal, exit the station and head towards the main exit. From there, take Tram Line 8 towards 'Antwerpen - Wouter Weylandt' and get off at the 'Meir' stop. Once you exit the tram, head south on Meir street, then turn right onto Vrijdagmarkt. Continue straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see the Plantin-Moretus Museum on your left at Vrijdagmarkt 22.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from any bike rental service in Mechelen. Start from the city center and head towards the Kruidtuin Park. From the park, take the bike path leading towards the south, which connects to the bike route towards Antwerp. Follow the signs for Antwerp, which will lead you along scenic routes. The ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Antwerp, follow the bike paths toward the center and look for Vrijdagmarkt. The museum will be on your right at Vrijdagmarkt 22.
