Walking
From the city center of Mechelen, start at the main square, Grote Markt. Head south on Bruul street towards the railway station. Continue straight onto the Mechelsesteenweg (N15) and follow it for about 2 kilometers. Once you reach the area around the train station, follow the signs for public transportation to Antwerp. You can take a train from Mechelen railway station to Antwerp Central Station, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Antwerp Central Station, exit the station and head west towards the street called De Keyserlei, then take a left onto Meir street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Montevideostraat. Turn right onto Montevideostraat, and you will find the Red Star Line Museum at number 3 on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Mechelen. Start at the city center and head south on Bruul street, then continue onto Mechelsesteenweg (N15). Follow the bike lanes for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Antwerp. Once in Antwerp, navigate towards the central area, following bike signs. You can cycle along the Scheldt river for a scenic route. When you get close to the city center, look for Montevideostraat and turn right to reach the museum at number 3.
Train
Make your way to Mechelen railway station located near the city center. Purchase a ticket for Antwerp Central Station. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Antwerp Central Station, follow the signs to the exit and head towards De Keyserlei. From there, take a left onto Meir street, and walk straight until you reach Montevideostraat. Turn right, and the Red Star Line Museum is located at Montevideostraat 3.
