From the Mechelen city center, head south towards the 'Korenmarkt' square. You will find the 'Mechelen' train station nearby. Walk straight along 'Korenmarkt' until you reach the 'Koningin Astridlaan'. Turn right onto 'Koningin Astridlaan' and continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the station. From 'Mechelen' station, take a train towards 'Brussels' and get off at 'Waterloo' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards the town center, and you will find Waterloo at a short walking distance, approximately 15 minutes.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Mechelen. Start your journey from the city center and head south towards the 'Korenmarkt' square. Continue to 'Koningin Astridlaan' and follow the cycle paths towards the 'Mechelen' train station. After reaching the station, take the train towards 'Brussels'. Get off at 'Waterloo' station and park your bike at the designated bike racks. From there, it's just a short 15-minute walk to the center of Waterloo.

From Mechelen city center, you can catch a bus to Waterloo. Walk to the 'Korenmarkt' and locate the bus stop for line 1 or 4. Board the bus and ensure it is heading towards 'Waterloo'. After about 30 minutes, the bus will stop at 'Waterloo'. Once you disembark, follow the signs to the town center, which is within walking distance.
