Car
If you are driving to Gravensteen from anywhere in the Meuse Valley, you will want to head towards Ghent. Use the E40 motorway for the fastest route. From the E40, take exit 9 for Ghent and follow signs for the city center. Once in the city, follow signs for 'Sint-Veerleplein.' There is limited parking near the castle, so look for parking garages nearby. Expect to pay around €2.50 per hour for parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Gravensteen by public transportation from the Meuse Valley, take a train to Ghent St. Pieters Station, which is well connected from other cities. From the station, board a tram (Line 1 or Line 4) towards the city center. Disembark at 'Korenmarkt' stop. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to Gravensteen. Follow the signs towards 'Sint-Veerleplein.' The total cost for a train ticket is approximately €10-15, depending on your starting location, and tram tickets are around €3.
Walking
If you are already in Ghent and prefer to walk, make your way to 'Korenmarkt' and head towards 'Sint-Veerleplein.' You will walk through beautiful streets filled with shops and cafes. The walk is approximately 15 minutes from the Korenmarkt. Follow the signs, and you will arrive directly at Gravensteen, located at Sint-Veerleplein 11.
