Getting There
Walking
From the center of Nieuwpoort, head towards the Nieuwpoort-Bad tram stop. Once there, take the Coast Tram heading to Oostende. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Brugge stop. From the Brugge tram stop, walk straight towards the city center. Follow the signs directing you towards 'Minnewater.' Continue on this path for about 15 minutes, and you will arrive at Minnewater, located at 8000 Bruges.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nieuwpoort. Head north on the cycling path along the N39 road, following the signs to Bruges. The route is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 50 minutes. As you approach Bruges, follow the signs toward the city center, and you will find Minnewater at the end of your route, a beautiful lake area in the heart of Bruges.
Public Transport (Train)
From Nieuwpoort, walk to the nearest train station. Take a train to Bruges Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Bruges Station, exit the station and take bus number 6, which heads directly to the Minnewater area. Get off at the Minnewater stop, and you will find the scenic lake shortly after.
