Bus
From Ostend, head to the Ostend train station (Station Oostende). Once there, look for the bus stop outside the station. Take bus number 3 or 6 towards Bruges. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Brugge, Station' stop. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to Gentpoort. Head northeast on Spoorwegstraat, then turn left onto Langestraat. Continue straight until you reach the Boninvest intersection, where Gentpoort is located.
Train
Make your way to Ostend train station (Station Oostende). Purchase a ticket to Bruges (Brugge). Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Bruges station, exit and head towards the bus stop outside the station. You can take bus number 3 or 6 towards the city center. Get off at the 'Brugge, Station' stop. From there, walk northeast on Spoorwegstraat, turn left onto Langestraat, and continue until you reach Boninvest 113, where Gentpoort is located.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Ostend. Head towards the coastal bike path and follow the signs towards Bruges. The distance is approximately 15 km and will take about 1 hour. As you approach Bruges, you will find bike paths directing you toward the city center. Once in Bruges, navigate to Boninvest by following the signs to Langestraat. Gentpoort is located at Boninvest 113.
Walking
If you're up for a long walk, you can walk from Ostend to Bruges. It's about a 15 km journey which can take approximately 3 hours. Start heading northwest on the coastal path, then follow the signs that lead toward Bruges. Once you reach the city, navigate towards Langestraat and continue until you find Boninvest 113, where Gentpoort is situated.
