Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Tournai, start at the Grand Place. Head southeast towards Rue de la Tête d'Or. Continue straight onto Rue de la République, crossing the bridge over the River Escaut. Once you reach the other side, turn left onto Quai des Allies. Follow this road along the river for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Chemin de la Basse Rivière. Turn right on Chemin de la Basse Rivière, and Ecluse de l'Escaut will be located shortly ahead on your left, at the address of 7640 Antoing.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Tournai Central Station, take bus line 1 heading towards Antoing. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at the stop 'Ecluse de l'Escaut'. From there, walk a short distance down the road, and you will arrive at the Ecluse de l'Escaut located at 7640 Antoing. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Grand Place in Tournai. Head towards Rue de la Tête d'Or and follow it until you reach the Route de Mons. Turn left onto Route de Mons, continuing straight until you reach the river. Follow the cycle path along the River Escaut for about 3 kilometers. When you reach the fork, take the path leading towards Chemin de la Basse Rivière. Ecluse de l'Escaut will be on your left at 7640 Antoing. This route provides a scenic view of the river and surrounding areas.
