Walking
From the center of Tournai, head towards the Tournai train station (Gare de Tournai). Once you reach the station, look for the train to Lille. Purchase a ticket at the station's ticket counter or automated machines. The train journey to Lille takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Lille's train station (Gare de Lille), exit the station and head towards the main exit. Once outside, you will see the main road, Rue Faidherbe. Turn left onto Rue Faidherbe and continue straight until you reach the Place du Théâtre. The Lille Opera is located at Pl. du Théâtre, which is right in front of the square.

Start at the Tournai bus station and take a bus to Lille. Make sure to check the bus schedules as they vary throughout the day. The most common bus route will take you directly to Lille. Once you arrive at Lille’s bus station, walk towards the city center. Follow the signs for Place du Théâtre, and you will soon reach the Lille Opera located at Pl. du Théâtre.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the rental stations in Tournai. Head towards the EuroVelo 5 route which connects Tournai to Lille. The scenic bike ride will take you through beautiful landscapes and will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Lille, follow the signs to the city center and head towards Place du Théâtre to find the Lille Opera.
