Walking
From the center of Tournai, head towards the Tournai Cathedral (Cathedral of Our Lady) located at Place de l'Evêché. Once you reach the cathedral, continue straight down Rue Saint-Jacques. Follow this road as it curves slightly to the left and becomes Rue de la Fonderie. You will then cross the River Escaut via the Pont des Trous bridge. After crossing, continue straight on Rue de la Fonderie until you reach Place du Général de Gaulle in Kortrijk. The Grote Markt will be directly in front of you.
Bus
From Tournai's central bus station (Gare de Tournai), take Bus Line 85 towards Kortrijk. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. You will arrive at the Kortrijk bus station (Station Kortrijk). From the bus station, walk straight down the Boulevard de l'Indépendance, and then take a right onto Rue de la Basse. Continue straight to reach Grote Markt, which is a prominent square in Kortrijk.
Train
From Tournai's train station, take a train towards Kortrijk. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Kortrijk train station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Boulevard de l'Indépendance. Walk straight and take the first right onto Rue de la Basse. Continue straight until you reach Grote Markt, which will be right in front of you.
