Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, Fondry des Chiens is located at 5670 Viroinval. From the city of Namur, take the N4 highway towards Charleroi. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards the N5 in the direction of Philippeville. Continue on the N5 for about 20 km, then take the exit towards Viroinval. Follow the signs for Viroinval and then for Fondry des Chiens. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Fondry des Chiens using public transportation, first take a train to the nearest station, which is 'Viroinval'. From Brussels, you can take a train to Charleroi-Sud and then transfer to a train heading towards Viroinval. The journey will take around 2 hours. Once you arrive at Viroinval station, you will need to take a taxi to Fondry des Chiens, as public buses may not run frequently. Taxis are usually available at the station, and the fare should be around €10-€15 for the short ride to the site.

• Walking

  If you're already in the Viroinval area, and prefer to walk, you can reach Fondry des Chiens from the nearest bus stop or train station. From Viroinval station, it's approximately a 30-minute walk. Exit the station and head north along Rue de la Gare, then turn left onto Chemin de Fondry, which will take you directly to the site. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path may be uneven.
