Car
If you are driving from central Wallonia, take the E40 motorway in the direction of Aachen. Exit at the sign for 'Kelmis' (Exit 5). Continue on N3 towards Kelmis and follow the signs for Vaalserberg. The journey should take approximately 1 hour from Liège or Namur, depending on traffic. Upon arrival in Kelmis, you can park your car in designated areas near the Vaalserberg entrance.
Public Transportation
From Liège, take a train to Verviers. At Verviers, switch to a regional train heading towards Eupen. Once you reach Eupen, take bus line 1 towards Kelmis. Get off at the 'Kelmis Vaalserberg' stop. The entire journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, including waiting times. Ensure to check the local train and bus schedules on the SNCB/NMBS website or app for the most accurate timings.
Walking from Public Transport
If you arrive by bus at the 'Kelmis Vaalserberg' stop, it is a short walk of about 15 minutes to the Vaalserberg. Head northwest on Rue de la Station, then turn left onto Rue des Mésanges. Follow this road until you reach the entrance to Vaalserberg. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
