    From Brussels, take the E411 highway towards Luxembourg and exit at Gembloux (exit 11). Follow the N29 road towards Corroy-le-Château. Parking is available near the castle. There are no tolls on this route.

The Château de Corroy-le-Château, located in the village of Corroy-le-Château, near Gembloux, is a striking example of a medieval lowland castle. Constructed between 1220 and 1230 by William of Brabant, the castle was designed with inspiration drawn from the Louvre. It is considered one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in Belgium.The castle's architecture features a pentagonal layout with four corner towers and a wide moat. Throughout its history, the castle has been owned by the same family until 2008. Today, the Marquis de Trazegnies, a direct descendant of the Nassau counts, inhabits the castle.The interior of the Château de Corroy-le-Château displays a mix of medieval architecture and 18th and 19th-century decorations. Visitors can explore the grand neo-Gothic hall, the 13th-century Notre-Dame chapel, and a marble dining room. The castle hosts cultural events and performances throughout the year, including the popular Medieval festival in May.
