    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Ypres, head towards the Ypres Market Square (Grote Markt). Once you reach the square, look for the direction towards the Menin Gate. Walk along Menin Road, which eventually leads you out of Ypres. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the train station (Ypres Station). At the station, take a train to Lille (Lille Flandres station). The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lille Flandres station, exit the station and head towards Rue de Paris. Walk straight on Rue de Paris until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Gare. Turn left onto Rue de la Gare and continue straight until you reach Voie Piétonne du Bois de la Deûle. The Parc de la Citadelle will be on your right.

    Public Transport

    From Ypres, make your way to the Ypres Train Station (Ypres Station) by walking straight down Menin Road. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Lille (Lille Flandres station). The train ride takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Lille Flandres station, exit the station and find the nearest bus stop. Take Bus Line 1 towards 'Lille - Gare de Lille Europe'. Get off at 'Rond-Point de la République'. From there, walk straight along Avenue du Peuple Belge, then turn right on Rue de la Deûle. Continue walking until you reach the Parc de la Citadelle.
