From the Ypres city center, start at the Menin Gate Memorial, located at Ieper, 8900 Ypres. Head east on Menenstraat towards the junction with Grote Markt. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Ieperstraat, then take a left onto Ieperstraat. Walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the train station, Ypres Railway Station. From here, catch a train to Lille, France, which should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lille Flandres Station, exit the station and head south towards Rue de Paris. Turn left onto Rue de Paris, and continue walking for about 400 meters until you reach Pl. aux Oignons, which will be on your right.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in Ypres. Start at the Ypres Market Square and head west on Diksmuidestraat. Following the bike path, continue towards the Ypres Railway Station. Once at the station, take the train to Lille, France. After arriving at Lille Flandres Station, exit the station and follow the signs for bicycles to Rue de Paris. Cycle down Rue de Paris for about 400 meters until you reach Pl. aux Oignons on your right.
