Walking
If you are starting from the Ypres Market Square, head northwest towards the Menin Gate. Once you reach the Menin Gate, turn left onto the Meensestraat and continue walking straight. You will pass several shops and cafes on your way. After approximately 1.5 km, you will reach the train station, Ypres Station. From there, take a train heading towards Saint-Omer. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Saint-Omer Station, exit the station and turn right onto Rue de la République. Follow this street, which will lead you to Rue des Ruines Saint-Bertin. Continue straight until you reach the Ruins of St. Bertin Abbey, located at 1 Rue des Ruines Saint-Bertin.

From the Ypres Market Square, walk to the nearest bus stop, located on the corner of the square. Take bus line 1 towards Saint-Omer. The bus will take you directly to Saint-Omer, which takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Saint-Omer bus station, exit the station and head towards Rue de la République. Walk straight along this road until you reach Rue des Ruines Saint-Bertin. The Ruins of St. Bertin Abbey will be on your left, at 1 Rue des Ruines Saint-Bertin.
