    From the Ypres Cloth Hall (Lakenhalle), head northeast on Grote Markt towards Ieperstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Menenstraat. Turn left onto Menenstraat and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rijselstraat (Rijsel Street) and follow it for approximately 1.5 km. This road will lead you directly to the Belgian border with France. Once you cross the border, continue straight for another 2 km until you reach Lille. Look for signs directing you towards Pl. du Général de Gaulle, which is located in the city center.
