Walking
Start at the Ypres Cloth Hall (In Flanders Fields Museum) located at Grote Markt 34, Ypres. Head east on Grote Markt toward Ieperstraat. Continue straight onto Ieperstraat, which will lead you to the Menin Gate. After visiting the Menin Gate, turn right onto Rue de la Republique. Follow this street until you reach the train station. From the train station, take the train to Lille. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lille Flandres Station, exit the station and walk towards Place de la République, which is about a 10-minute walk. You will find Republic Square at 2B Pl. de la République.
Bus
Begin at the Ypres bus station located near the Cloth Hall at Grote Markt. Take Bus line 14 or 15 towards Lille. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Lille, get off at the nearest stop to Republic Square. From there, it is a short walk to 2B Pl. de la République. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for the most accurate times.
