Getting There

• Water Taxi

  To get to The Split, start by making your way to the Belize City Swing Bridge, which is located in the heart of the city. From the Swing Bridge, walk towards the waterfront on either side until you reach the main terminal for water taxis. Look for signs directing you to San Pedro or Caye Caulker, as both destinations are accessible by water taxi. Purchase a ticket at the counter; the ride to Caye Caulker takes about 30 minutes, and boats usually leave every hour. Once you arrive at Caye Caulker, disembark and follow the signs towards The Split, which is located on the northern end of the island, about a 15-20 minute walk from the dock.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer a more active option, you can rent a bicycle in Caye Caulker after arriving via water taxi. There are several rental shops near the dock. Once you have your bike, head north along the main road that runs parallel to the coast. Follow the road until you reach The Split, which is well-marked and a popular destination, making it easy to find.

• Walking

  If you arrive at Caye Caulker by water taxi and want to walk, exit the terminal and head north on the main path. Keep to the left side of the island, following the beach. The Split is a popular spot, so you can ask locals for directions if needed. It takes roughly 15-20 minutes to walk from the dock to The Split, and you’ll enjoy the scenic views along the way.
