Getting There

Car
From Belize City, take the Philip Goldson Highway (also known as the Northern Highway) heading north. Continue on this highway for approximately 30 miles (48 km). Look for signs indicating the turnoff for Crooked Tree. You will turn right onto the road leading to Crooked Tree Village. The sanctuary is located within the village, and you will follow the main road until you reach the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, which is marked with signs. The journey should take about an hour, depending on traffic.

Public Transportation
Head to the Belize City bus terminal and look for a bus heading towards Orange Walk or Corozal. Make sure to ask the driver or the terminal staff to let you off at the turnoff for Crooked Tree Village. The bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you reach the turnoff, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you into Crooked Tree Village. The taxi ride should not cost more than $10 BZD. Once in the village, follow the signs to the sanctuary.

Taxi
You can hire a taxi directly from Belize City to take you to Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. This is the most comfortable option but also the most expensive. The drive will take about an hour. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand; it typically ranges from $60 to $80 BZD. The taxi will drop you off at the sanctuary entrance.
