Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Belize City. Drive west on the George Price Highway (also known as the Western Highway). Continue on this road for about 45 miles until you reach the junction with the Hummingbird Highway. Turn left onto the Hummingbird Highway and continue driving for approximately 15 miles until you see the signs for Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, located just south of the town of San Ignacio. Follow the signs and take the access roads leading into the reserve. The coordinates are approximately 16.9569° N latitude and 88.9797° W longitude. Ensure you have a map or GPS device for navigation and be aware of the road conditions.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Belize City to San Ignacio. Buses depart frequently from the Belize City bus terminal. The fare is usually around $10 BZD (Belize Dollars) and the journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Once you arrive in San Ignacio, you will need to take a taxi or local shuttle to the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Taxis are available outside the bus terminal, and the ride will cost approximately $30 BZD, taking about 30 minutes to reach the reserve. Confirm with the driver that they are familiar with the location.
