Car
From Caracol, head east on the road leading out of the archaeological site. Follow this road until you reach the junction. At the junction, take a left onto the road towards San Antonio Village. Continue driving for approximately 10-15 minutes until you see a sign for Big Rock Waterfalls. Turn right at the sign and follow the unpaved road for about 5 minutes, which will lead you directly to the waterfalls. Be prepared for a bumpy ride as the road may not be well-maintained.
Public Transportation
To reach Big Rock Waterfalls from Caracol using public transportation, you can take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards San Antonio Village. These usually depart from the main area near Caracol. Upon reaching San Antonio, ask the driver to drop you off near the sign for Big Rock Waterfalls. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along the unpaved road to reach the waterfalls. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as the path can be uneven and muddy.
