Getting There

• Car

  From your location in Central Belize, head east on the main highway (Philip Goldson Highway). Continue for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction for the Southern Highway (Hummingbird Highway). Take a right onto the Southern Highway and continue for about 12 miles. Look for signs directing you to Silk Grass Village. Once you reach Silk Grass, follow the local roads to Mayflower Bocawina National Park, which is located just outside the village. Be aware that there may be some unpaved sections leading to the park entrance.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Start by taking a bus from your location in Central Belize to Dangriga. Buses run frequently, but be sure to check the schedule for your preferred travel time. Once you arrive in Dangriga, transfer to a local bus heading towards Silk Grass Village. Inform the driver that you are going to Mayflower Bocawina National Park, and they will drop you off at the nearest point to the park entrance. Be prepared for a short walk (about 1 mile) to reach the park from the bus stop.

Taxis are generally available in most towns in Central Belize, and the drive will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic and road conditions.
