Getting There

If you're driving, head to San Ignacio. From the center of San Ignacio, take the Macal River Road (also known as the Cayo Road) heading west. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Chial Road, where you will turn left. Follow Chial Road for approximately 2 kilometers. The Belize Botanic Gardens will be on your right. There is no entry fee for the gardens, but check for any specific programs or events that may have associated costs.

To reach Belize Botanic Gardens using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Belmopan or another location in Central Belize to San Ignacio. Once in San Ignacio, you can take a local taxi or a 'chicken bus' (local bus) towards the Botanical Gardens. The taxi may charge around BZ$10-15 to take you directly to the gardens, which is also an option if you prefer not to wait for the chicken bus.
