Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from Belmopan, the capital of Belize. Take the George Price Highway (Hummingbird Highway is also an option) towards Belize City. From Belize City, head towards the Northern Highway (also known as the Philip Goldson Highway) until you reach the turnoff for the Belize River. Continue driving on the Northern Highway until you reach the town of Orange Walk, then switch to Route 2 towards Corozal. From there, take a ferry to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Once you arrive in San Pedro, you will need to drive approximately 3.5 miles north along the beach road to reach Belizean Shores Resort. Make sure to check ferry schedules in advance, as they can vary, and be prepared for an additional cost for the ferry ride.

• Public Transportation

  For travelers using public transportation, begin your journey by taking a bus from Belmopan to Belize City. From Belize City, you can catch a bus to Corozal. Once in Corozal, you will need to arrange for a water taxi or a local boat service to take you to San Pedro. Upon arriving in San Pedro, take a taxi or local transport to Belizean Shores Resort, which is located about 3.5 miles north of the main town area. Be sure to confirm the schedules for the buses and water taxis, as they can vary throughout the day.

  If you prefer a more direct method from Belize City to San Pedro, consider taking a water taxi. There are several companies that operate regular services from Belize City to San Pedro. The water taxi ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. After arriving in San Pedro, you can take a taxi directly to Belizean Shores Resort. The distance is about 3.5 miles, so expect to pay a small fare for the taxi service once you reach the island.
