Bicycle
From Corozal Town, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head southeast on 2nd Avenue until you reach the junction with the main road, which is the Philip Goldson Highway. Turn left onto the highway and continue for about 4 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the Bacalar Lagoon area. Follow the signs towards Laguna Bacalar, and then look for Avenida Costera. Cenote Esmeralda is located along this avenue, so keep an eye out for the signs.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start at Central Park in Corozal Town. Head southeast on 2nd Avenue, and then take a left onto the Philip Goldson Highway. Walk along the highway for approximately 4 kilometers. Be sure to stay on the side of the road and watch for traffic. After about 4 kilometers, look for a path or signs directing you to Bacalar. Follow the path towards Avenida Costera, and keep walking until you reach Cenote Esmeralda.
