Start from the center of Dangriga, specifically from the Dangriga Town Market. Head south on the main road, which is the Southern Highway. Continue walking for about 2.5 miles (4 km). You will pass several local shops and residences. Keep an eye out for the Cockscomb Basin Forest Reserve signs along the way. Upon reaching the entrance to the Cockscomb Basin Forest Reserve, you will see a small sign indicating Balum Trailhead. The trailhead is located just off the main highway. The walk should take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pace.

From Dangriga Town Market, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head south on the Southern Highway, which is the main road. Cycle for about 2.5 miles (4 km). You will pass by various shops and local attractions. Look for signs indicating the Cockscomb Basin Forest Reserve.
