Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Dangriga, head towards the main road, which is the Southern Highway. Walk north along the highway until you reach the junction with the George Price Highway. This will take about 15-20 minutes. At the junction, turn left onto the George Price Highway. Continue walking along this highway for approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers). Keep an eye out for signs indicating Heris Nature Park. The park is located at '43 1/2 Miles George Price Hwy', so look for notable landmarks or ask locals for directions as you approach. The walk should take roughly 30-40 minutes in total.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Dangriga. Start from the town center and ride towards the Southern Highway. Once you reach the junction with the George Price Highway, turn left. Continue cycling along the George Price Highway for about 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers). You should be able to see signs for Heris Nature Park. This route will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

• Public Transport

  Take a local bus or shuttle service from Dangriga to Belmopan. Buses usually depart from the main bus terminal in Dangriga. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you would like to get off near Heris Nature Park. The bus will travel along the Southern Highway and then merge onto the George Price Highway. It is advisable to ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Heris Nature Park, which is located at '43 1/2 Miles George Price Hwy'. The total travel time may vary but expect around 30-50 minutes, depending on traffic.
