Getting There

• Bus

  From Dangriga Town, head to the main bus terminal located on the corner of Main Street and the Southern Highway. Look for buses heading towards Maya Centre or Hopkins. The bus fare is generally inexpensive, around BZ$2-3. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which typically takes around 20-30 minutes. Inform the bus driver that you wish to get off at the Ya'axkin Butterfly Farm stop. The bus will drop you off near the Southern Highway, and from there, you will need to walk a short distance (approximately 5-10 minutes) to reach the farm.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Dangriga. Make your way to the Southern Highway, heading south from the town center. The ride to Ya'axkin Butterfly Farm is approximately 7 kilometers and will take around 30-45 minutes, depending on your cycling speed. Follow the highway, and keep an eye out for the signs indicating the butterfly farm. Once you reach the farm, park your bicycle at the designated area.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, you can start from the center of Dangriga. Head south on Main Street until you reach the Southern Highway. Turn right onto the Southern Highway and continue walking for about 7 kilometers. This walk can take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so be prepared with water and sun protection. Look for signs for the Ya'axkin Butterfly Farm along the way, and once you arrive, you'll be greeted by beautiful butterflies and a serene environment.
