If you are driving to Bottoms Up from anywhere within Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, start by heading south on the main road (Mountain Pine Ridge Road) toward the junction with the Hummingbird Highway (also known as the Southern Highway). Continue on Mountain Pine Ridge Road until you reach the junction. Turn left onto the Hummingbird Highway and drive for about 20-25 minutes until you reach the turnoff for Bocotora. This area is not heavily marked, so keep an eye out for local signs or landmarks. After turning onto Bocotora Road, drive for approximately 10 minutes. Look for the coordinates 5GQ2+XW5 on your GPS or navigation app, which will lead you directly to Bottoms Up.
Public Transportation
To reach Bottoms Up via public transport, first, take a bus from San Ignacio to Belmopan. Buses frequently travel to Belmopan, and the fare is generally around BZ$10. Once you arrive in Belmopan, look for a bus heading towards Bocotora. This leg of the journey will cost approximately BZ$5. The bus will drop you off at a nearby location; from there, you may need to hire a taxi or walk approximately 1-2 kilometers to reach the coordinates 5GQ2+XW5, where Bottoms Up is located. Be sure to confirm the drop-off point with the bus driver.
