Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Corozal. Head south on the Northern Highway (Route 78) towards Orange Walk. After approximately 20 kilometers, take the exit towards Route 1, which leads to the town of Copper Bank. Follow the signs and continue on Route 1 for about 10 kilometers until you reach Copper Bank. From Copper Bank, you will need to take a local road towards the coast. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Cerros Mayan Ruins. The ruins are located at 9J3W+Q9G, which is just off the main road. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Cerros Mayan Ruins using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Corozal to Orange Walk. Buses are frequent and cost around BZD 2-3. Once in Orange Walk, you will need to catch a bus heading to Copper Bank. The fare for this trip is approximately BZD 5. Upon arrival in Copper Bank, you can either walk or take a taxi (costing around BZD 10-15) to the ruins. The ruins are located about 5 kilometers from the bus drop-off point. Ensure to check bus schedules as they may vary throughout the day.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Corozal to take you to Cerros Mayan Ruins. The cost for a taxi ride will vary but expect to pay around BZD 50-70 for the one-way trip. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The taxi will take you directly to the ruins, which is located at 9J3W+Q9G, just off the main road.
