Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of San Ignacio, head towards the main street (Burns Avenue). Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Western Highway (George Price Highway). Cross the highway carefully and look for a sign pointing towards Chiquibul Road. Follow Chiquibul Road, which is approximately a 30-minute walk from the intersection. Keep an eye out for the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch sign as you approach.

• Bicycle

  If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main square in San Ignacio and pedal towards Burns Avenue. Turn onto the Western Highway (George Price Highway) and then take a left onto Chiquibul Road. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Look for the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch sign along the road.

• Taxi

  To reach Green Hills Butterfly Ranch by taxi, go to the nearest taxi stand in San Ignacio, which is located in the main square. Tell the driver you want to go to Green Hills Butterfly Ranch on Chiquibul Road. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes, and it’s recommended to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

• Public Bus

  From the main bus station in San Ignacio, take a bus heading towards the town of Belize City but inform the driver you want to get off at Chiquibul Road. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Chiquibul Road, walk a short distance until you see the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch sign.
