Getting There

  From the center of San Ignacio, head towards the main street, Burns Avenue. Walk straight along Burns Avenue until you reach the intersection with the Western Highway. Cross the highway carefully. Continue walking on the road, following signs for the Cayo District. After about 1.5 miles, you will see a sign for Rio On Pools. Turn left onto the unpaved road leading to the attraction. Follow this road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Rio On Pools.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in San Ignacio. Start from the central park and ride down Burns Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the Western Highway. Cross the highway and continue along the Cayo District road. Keep an eye out for the sign for Rio On Pools after about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto the unpaved road and cycle for another 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Rio On Pools.

  You can easily find a taxi in San Ignacio. Tell the driver you want to go to Rio On Pools. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. The driver will take you along the Western Highway, and then turn onto the unpaved road leading to the attraction. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

  Check with local tour operators or your hotel for shuttle services to Rio On Pools. These shuttles usually depart from central locations in San Ignacio.
