Walking
If you're starting from the San Ignacio town center, head south on Burns Avenue. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with the Western Highway. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing to continue south on the same street. After about 5 more minutes, you will see the Centennial Obelisk on your right, located in a small park area. It's an easy walk, and you'll enjoy the local scenery along the way.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in San Ignacio. Start by heading south on Burns Avenue, and then turn right at the junction to stay on the main road. Cycle for about 15 minutes along the road. The Centennial Obelisk will be on your right side near a park area. This route is flat and should be an enjoyable ride.
Local Bus
Find a local bus heading towards the Western Highway from any bus stop in San Ignacio. Board the bus and inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Centennial Obelisk stop. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you get off, walk a short distance back towards the park where the obelisk is located. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip!
