Walking
From the center of San Ignacio, head east on Burns Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Joseph Andrew Drive. Turn left onto Joseph Andrew Drive and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass through local neighborhoods and may notice various shops and restaurants along the way. Keep walking until you reach Macal River Park. The Hawkesworth Bridge will be located within the park area, near the river.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in San Ignacio. Start from the town center and head east on Burns Avenue, then take a left at the intersection with Joseph Andrew Drive. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer, enjoying the scenery as you pedal. Once you reach Macal River Park, you will see the Hawkesworth Bridge near the river. Parking your bicycle at the park is allowed.
Local Transportation (Taxi or Shuttle)
If you prefer not to walk or bike, you can take a local taxi or shuttle from San Ignacio. Simply ask the driver to take you to Macal River Park on Joseph Andrew Drive. The drive will take approximately 5-10 minutes. Once you arrive, the Hawkesworth Bridge is located within the park area, easily accessible from the drop-off point.
