Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the town center of San Pedro, head southeast towards the beach. Walk along the beach path or the main road that runs parallel to the shore, which is called Barrier Reef Drive. Continue walking for about 20-25 minutes until you reach the northern part of the island. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to 'The Split' as you get closer. You'll know you're there when you see a sandy area with a bar and a dock.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Pedro. From the town center, ride southeast along Barrier Reef Drive. Stay on the main road and enjoy the scenic views of the ocean. After about 15-20 minutes of cycling, you will arrive at The Split. Look for the beachfront bar and the popular swimming area.

• Golf Cart

  Golf carts are a popular mode of transportation in San Pedro. Rent one from a local shop near the town center. Drive southeast along Barrier Reef Drive, keeping the ocean on your right. After about 10-15 minutes, you will see signs for The Split. Park your golf cart in the designated area and walk to the beach to enjoy the view and relax.

• Water Taxi

  If you are staying at a resort or hotel near the waterfront, check if they offer water taxi services to The Split. You can board the water taxi from the dock at your accommodation. The ride typically takes about 10 minutes. Make sure to ask the water taxi operator for The Split as your destination, and enjoy the scenic ride over the water.
