From Sarteneja, head south on the main road toward the Belize-Guatemala border. Continue on this road for approximately 19 kilometers until you reach the junction near Corozal Town. Take a left turn onto the Philip Goldson Highway (also known as the Northern Highway). After about 10 kilometers, you will see signs for the Belize-Guatemala border. Keep going straight until you reach the border crossing. Once you cross into Guatemala, follow the road signs toward Bacalar, Mexico. Continue driving until you reach Bacalar. Look for signs directing you to Velazulbacalar, which is located at PJ58+6Q9C, Guerrero, Bacalar. Note: Ensure you have your passport and any required documents for border crossing.

Public Transportation
From Sarteneja, take a local bus to Corozal Town (approximately 25 minutes). The fare is usually around BZD 2-3. Once in Corozal, transfer to a bus heading to the Belize-Guatemala border. After crossing the border, you will need to catch a bus or a colectivo (shared taxi) towards Bacalar, Mexico. The bus ride from the border to Bacalar may cost around MXN 50-100 and takes about 1 hour. Once in Bacalar, you can either walk or take a taxi to Velazulbacalar, located at PJ58+6Q9C, which is approximately a 10-minute drive.
