Car
From Sarteneja, head south on the main road towards the Corozal District. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Northern Highway (also known as Highway 2). Turn right onto the Northern Highway and drive for about 15 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Altun Ha, and turn left onto the access road. Follow the signs for another 5 kilometers until you arrive at the Altun Ha archaeological site. Please note that parking may incur a small fee.

To reach Altun Ha from Sarteneja using public transportation, first, take a local bus or taxi to the nearest major town, which is Corozal Town. Buses leave Sarteneja regularly, and the fare is usually around BZD 3-5. Once in Corozal, transfer to a bus heading toward Belize City; ensure to inform the driver you want to get off at Altun Ha. The bus fare for this leg is approximately BZD 10-15. After a short drive, you will arrive at the junction for Altun Ha; from here, you may need to walk or arrange a taxi for the final few kilometers to the site.
